Geray Gençer's design practice is focused on communication exploring both analogue and digital possibilities. His primary areas of interest are books, literature and design education. He finished his graduate studies in 2013 at Bilgi University Visual Communication Department. His work has been exhibited and published around the world across from London to Tokyo. Gençer became the first Turkish designer whose work was selected to the American Institute of Graphic Arts, 50 Books & Book Covers in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and to win the Gold Medal at the 2013, 2015, 2018 European Design Awards. He was selected to be a member of the judging committee for prestigious institutions like New York Type Directors Club, Polish Association of Applied Graphic Designers, Turkish Society of Graphic Design. He has continued as a member on board of directors of Turkish Graphic Designers Association. With over ten years of publishing experience Gençer continues to produce works of graphic design at his studio in Istanbul.
